Guys, it has come to my attention that some of you are struggling with certain activities or even finding certain assignments difficult. If this is the case for you, I have downloaded Zoom an app that allows you to have video conferences through your laptop, tablet or PC. Last assignment - Survey

First of all, I would like to congratulate all of the students that have continued to work hard throughout this time. This shows what kind of persons you are and you and your parents, who you are a reflection of, should be proud. I thank you for being diligent and giving it your all. Continue to strive to be the best you can be and you are sure to find success. I thank you.

Here is your last assignment for the year. Try to be as descriptive as possible. I don't want and yes or no answers, or short sentences that say very little. Be descriptive!

Career Project

Career Project

Overview: As you may know, our entire district prides itself on doing everything it can to prepare students to dream and believe that they can achieve any career or go to any school they set their minds to. That is why every year, our small district sends many of its students to our neighboring colleges and universities across the United States. Being this the case, it is important that you start to dream big and that you form in detail all of your future goals, as well as the trials you will face in pursuing your educational and career goals.

I would encourage you to complete this assignment with the assistance of your parents. Since they will be your greatest help in achieving these future goals.

Format: You will be expected to submit this assignment online in one of the following formats. The reason there are multiple formats is because I understand that at home not all of you have access to them. The formats will be provided to you from most desirable to least desirable. So, if you have number one use it. If you do not, move down the line. You should also know that the format will not affect your grade. Here are the formats you can use:

  1. PowerPoint presentation. (10 slides, including Title slide).
  2. Google slides. (10 slides, including Title slide).
  3. Keynote (in Apple computers). (10 slides, including Title slide).
  4. Prezi (online, may have to create account). (10 slides, including Title slide).
  5. Trifold presentation (will have to send multiple pictures). (1 paragraph for each question, illustrations).
  6. Poster (will have to send multiple pictures). (1 paragraph for each question, illustrations).

For the assignment, you will need to research and answer the following questions as it pertains to your career.

  1. What career have you chosen and why?
  2. What would be your main responsibilities?
  3. What do you like most about your job?
  4. What do you dislike about it?
  5. What kinds of problems will you face?
  6. What kind of education, training, or background does your job require?
  7. What job skill, abilities, and personal attributes are essential to succeed in your job?
  8. Do you see yourself doing this job most of your life? Why or why not?
  9. Do you feel you are willing to do what it takes (like studying or working extra hours) to achieve your goal?

Video: Finally, you will create a 2-minute video presenting the information. The video will be for me to view only and I will delete it once I have seen it. The video can be recorded from any cellphone, ipod, ipad, or digital camera.

How to submit: You will send me the PowerPoint and video as an attachment on an Email to [email protected] or your parents can send it as a message on my phone at (928) 315 – 8244.

How will this be graded: This assignment will be graded as complete or incomplete. Meaning that if you turn it in, you will get full credit.
